North Carolina Chapter

This year not only are we celebrating our 50th anniversary, but we were awarded the James L. Smith, outstanding chapter award from the International Association of Arson Investigators at this year‘s ITC yesterday. Your board members and leaders of the chapter don’t take their positions lightly however, we take great pride in our chapter and the members that are part of it. We want to take this time and thank the International Association of Arson Investigators, Inc. (IAAI) for this honor, as well as each and every one of you that support us each year day and day out by coming to our trainings events, attending our meetings, those of you that are presenters/educators sharing your knowledge, and the students. This is a great achievement for our chapter…President Andy Thomas and 1st Vice President John Bull will bring the hardware home to North Carolina.

Outstanding Chapter Award (James L. Smith Award)

The Committee will choose recipients of this award after a thorough study of the activities of each Chapter throughout the year, including goals suggested by the President of the Association. In addition, the annual report submitted by the Chairman of the Chapter Committee will be studied for additional information. (Limited to one recipient annually.)
